'Breaking Bad' Casts 'Friday Night Lights' Star Jesse Plemons... Is Landry Making Meth?
by Andy NeuenschwanderWell, this is interesting: the latest news out of the "Breaking Bad" camp is that "Friday Night Lights" star Jesse Plemons will be joining the season five cast.
Plemons, as "FNL" fans know, played the lovable Landry on the now-defunct football drama. But according to TVLine, his role on "Breaking Bad" might be a little less lovable and a little more anti-hero.
Then again, is anybody on that show lovable? Walter Jr. is about the closest we get, and all he does is eat breakfast.
Plemons will be playing the role of Todd, a regular Joe and generally nice guy (sounds about right) who might have a dark side to him. Could Todd end up cooking meth with Walt and Jesse? Do things fall apart between Walt and Jesse, and is Todd Jesse's fill-in?
Right now, we don't really know the details. But hopefully we will find out soon: "Breaking Bad" season 5 debuts this July, and will be split up into two chunks, with the second half airing sometime in 2013.
What we do know is that Plemons' role will be a pretty major recurring one, so we should see quite a bit of him in this final season of one of the best dramas on television.
